PROJECT / PRODUCTION NOTES

Find new value.
Zetsumetsukigu — Endangered Stationery — explores a future for stationery and Japan’s everyday culture. Objects still in use and those whose original role has ended can both be studied through their forms, lettering, packaging and histories. The production status and history of each object need to be established individually.
Ideas for what comes next
The four areas on this site — publishing and archives, exhibitions, participation, and editions and collaboration — draw on 32 proposals in the project’s study of possible real-world applications, dated October 21, 2026. All 32 remain in the idea index. The images come from that study and are identified as AI-generated concepts in their captions and at the end of the section. They do not document completed events, products on sale or confirmed partnerships.
| Area | Proposal IDs | Source text | Source images |

| Publishing & archives | P01–P08 | Pages 26–27 | Page 9 |
| Exhibitions | EX-01–EX-08 | Pages 28–29 | Pages 12 and 15 |
| Participation | PART-01–PART-08 | Pages 30–31 | Pages 19 and 21 |
| Editions & collaboration | PD25–PD32 | Pages 32–33 | Pages 23 and 25 |
The street-poster concept comes from page 6. Small lettering, materials and dimensions shown in these images are not treated as verified product information.
One wordmark, different states
The moving wordmark is built from the black areas and openings in the official F1.2 artwork. Folds, curves and twists place the same information into different structures. The same original points are used when the wordmark returns to its initial form.
Each character retains its outline as it moves between the official arrangement of two columns and three rows and the horizontal setting. Surface deformation returns to zero during the change in layout; rearrangement is a separate stage from folding, bending and twisting. Transparency and replacement SVGs are not used to conceal a mismatch between shapes.
The positive evaluation of study 11, “Folded Terrain,” study 12, “Memory of Curvature,” and study 13, “Topology of a Twist,” established the basis of this site. Study 14, “A Grid Opened by Negative Space,” remains a possibility for further development and verification. It is not part of the main animation.
References
Zaha Hadid Foundation is a reference for the site’s structure and transformation of its identity. ON’s official case study describes the use of deformation in the identity and transitions while leaving the archive material itself undistorted. Here, too, the large wordmark and the transitions between sections move, while project images and text remain on readable, flat surfaces.
The inspected public implementation of ZHF’s logo and background used a shared system of 2D transformations. This site maps the wordmark’s surfaces into XYZ coordinates and renders them using a depth buffer. It uses WebGL where available and renders the same geometry in software otherwise. The reference and this implementation use different technical methods.
Rendering and verification
A single mesh of 7,383 vertices and 11,531 triangles is maintained throughout the animation. Its surfaces are opaque, and a depth buffer determines visibility. The 229 original vertices, 43 contours and 12 openings were checked. The transition between stacked and horizontal layouts is calculated from each character’s official position. The original vertices had zero deviation from their expected coordinates at each tested stage.
For the shared mesh, the maximum local edge-length difference in the tested bending states was approximately 0.0665%. This is separate from the earlier result for study 12’s dedicated mesh. The twisting rule allows the surface to stretch within its plane. Conversion to the Float32 coordinates sent to the GPU introduced a maximum difference of approximately 0.0000153 SVG units. Details are recorded in the geometry audit.
Depth rendering handles which surfaces appear in front; it does not simulate physical collisions to prevent surfaces from intersecting. A static wordmark is shown when a device requests reduced motion. If WebGL is unavailable, a software renderer compares depth at each pixel. If neither renderer is available, the official static wordmark is shown.
The verification browser could not create a WebGL context, so screen rendering and PNG downloads were checked using the software renderer. Rendering through WebGL on physical devices, and performance on iOS and Android devices, remain unverified. Software rendering limits the normal display to a maximum of 1200 × 1200 pixels and 20 rendering updates per second; exports use the requested image dimensions. Tests of intersecting surfaces, depth results independent of drawing order, and agreement with the original contours and openings are recorded in the software depth audit.
Posters and wallpapers are generated from the same transformation rules. Each of the three studies is available as a 2400 × 3394 pixel poster, a 1440 × 2560 pixel phone wallpaper and a 3840 × 2160 pixel desktop wallpaper, all in PNG format. Images are generated and saved on the visitor’s device.
Checks at different page widths, the complete index of 32 ideas and actual downloads in all three formats are documented in the browser verification record. That record describes tests performed before installation on the production domain. It is not a new test of the public server or every browser.
The English edition adds translated copy and controls, corresponding JP / EN links, and English text in downloaded artwork. The bilingual verification record documents the page-width checks and actual English PNG downloads for this edition. The release record distinguishes the prepared package from installation on the production server.
Decisions carried forward
The official F1.2 artwork, the site’s orange #FF5232 and the understated introduction of FULBUNG near the end remain the foundation. The older #FF5A00 value in the source PDF does not override the chosen website color. The site’s basic structure and visual direction were approved on November 7, 2026. This English edition carries that structure forward.
The production package is intended for the root of zetsumetsukigu.com. Domain registration was reported complete, and the domain’s addition to XServer was confirmed, on November 7, 2026. At the time this release was prepared, the control panel showed that settings were awaiting propagation. DNS and SSL propagation, and the site’s response after installation, still need to be checked.
The collaboration contact is info@fulbung.com, verified against FULBUNG’s public contact information. Email links open the visitor’s email application. The site does not send messages on their behalf.
The previous 27 studies, studies 01–06, 07–10 and 11–14, and their comparison and research records remain in the development archive.
